Several weekends ago I took Nicole on a 2-day getaway to St. Louis to one of the fantasy suites at the Cheshire Lodge. These first pictures are on the way to the hotel. This is about when Nicole figured out where we were going.
These are pictures of the hotel upon our arrival.
Here are pictures of the room. We went out to dinner at the Melting Pot which is a fondue restaurant. We were not expecting this but you actually cook your own meal on the skillet in center of your table. It was pretty cool. We ordered one of the five course combo meals. The first course was the appetizer which was a melted cheese blend in which to dip apples, bread, and veggies. The second course was a salad which did not involve anything fondue related. The third course which was the main course was a collection of meats, veggies, and potatoes. The meats were pork, chicken, beef, lobster, and shrimp. The fourth course was dessert which was a melted chocolate in which to dip strawberries, brownies, rice crispie treats, cheesecake, and sponge cake. It was really good but very expensive. Not sure if I'd actually go again.
These pictures are some experimenting by Nicole with her new camera at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis. They have not been through post-production so Nicole might be upset that I am posting them on our blog. But here they are anyway...
